Can You Conquer The Ocean? The PSCDA Sixth Annual Community Barbeque

OTTAWA, Ontario (August 5, 2014) The Portobello South Community Development Association (PSCDA) is thrilled to announce the return of its popular community barbeque with new rides and entertainment.

PSCDA president Pamela Moss, “This year we’re excited to present The Ocean, a 52-foot inflatable obstacle course for our older kids and teens, and live music courtesy of the Orleans’ School of Rock. This is in addition to our crowd favourites like Tumblers Gymnastics and new Tae Kwon Do demonstrations.  This should be our best BBQ yet!”

The PSCDA BBQ attracts up to 1,200 area residents to enjoy free food and family fun including inflatable rides for all ages, face-painting, entertainment and free prize draws.

PSCDA president Pamela Moss, ``The BBQ is all about bringing our community together for a day of socializing and fun; one last festivity to mark the end of summer and cultivate our strong community spirit.”

The event will take place in Portobello Park on Aquaview Drive Saturday September 6th from 11AM-2PM or Sunday, September 7th in case of rain. Local companies will be able to connect to the community inside a tented business pavilion.

The PSCDA thanks its generous business partners without whom this free event would not be possible, most especially our Community Champion partners Minto and Metro (Innes / Tenth Line). For a complete listing and the most up to date news about the barbeque please visit: www.pscda.com.

Formed in 2007, the Portobello South Community Development Association represents the interests of 20,000 area residents along the Portobello Boulevard, including the neighbourhoods of Avalon, Notting Gate and Notting Hill in Orléans.
